What Is Financial Aid?

Friends of FBCA donate money to a financial aid fund. Families who have students in FBCA may receive financial assistance from this fund to help pay tuition. The allocation of funds is based only upon financial need.

How Does It Work?

1. You complete and submit the application form (one form for the entire family). Your financial information is confidential and will not be shared with anyone who is not on the Financial Aid Committee.
2. Your expected family financial contribution to the education of your children is computed from the information provided.
3. Your financial need is computed by subtracting the expected family contribution from the cost of tuition.
4. Since funds are limited, the amount of financial aid awarded will be based on funds available.
5. A financial aid award letter for the entire school year will be mailed to you before the school year begins.  Each payment will be reduced by the monthly amount shown on the award letter.

Who Is Eligible?

To remain eligible to receive financial aid, the following criteria must be met:

• Your student(s) must maintain satisfactory academic progress toward a high school diploma, as specified in the school handbook.
• Your student(s) must meet the attendance requirements of FBCA, including lateness and absences, as specified in the school handbook.
• Your student(s) must meet the behavioral standards of FBCA, as specified in the school handbook.
• You must remain a faithful member of Faith Baptist Church, attending at least 2 services per week.
• You must tithe faithfully to the ministry of Faith Baptist Church.
• You must have no outstanding tuition balance from previous years, unless a payment plan has been agreed upon.

The school staff will do everything possible to help you make sure that your child remains eligible.

When Can I Apply?

• Applications are accepted for new and returning students between January 1 and May 31 for the next school year.
• Applications are accepted immediately upon enrollment for students enrolled during the school year.
• Application changes/updates are accepted between September 1 and September 30 and between January 1 and January 31.
